Benefit San Francisco-"Laughter is the best cosmetic"

"Laughter is the best cosmetic", this has to be one of my favourites quotes yet.  Especially when it comes to makeup. There's so much to say, I don't know where to start.

Using just a few of their  products, I have to say I'm impressed.  I started out with a couple samples. The first one I tried was, "They're Real Mascara" and I fell in love with it. I hardly wore mascara.  I had a very simple makeup routine but I thought I would give this a try and that day, I received compliments all day. It was perfect in all aspects.  I think it starts with the brush. It's designed in a way that you can achieve an effortless look and for a dramatic/evening look apply a second coat. I would use this for my everyday makeup or for an evening out. It is perfect for any occasion. 

Moving on to their Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW Brightening Makeup (Oil Free).  This foundation gives a lightweight coverage but I felt for a medium coverage it can be buildable. It's flawless in the sense it covers of any imperfections you may have but still looks like skin so makeup doesn't look cakey.  If you're looking for something lighter than a foundation for everyday makeup then I would suggest Bigger Than BB BIG EASY is a liquid to powder finish and has SPF 35.  It has a light texture and feels smooth. Along with this I would sometimes use the POREfessional pro balm for days my skin wasn't looking so great and those pores are obvious. 

So far blushes from this range, my favourites and ones that suite my skin tone would be the Rockateur.  I love this color.  It's a warm Mauve color that blends really well and adds a little glow to the cheeks.

To enhance the glow Benefit has all time famous, "Watt's up" that lights up your cheeks for a golden glow. This highlight has been my go to and is one of my favourites.  Another favourite highlight I can't forget to mention would be "high beam" luminescent complexion enhancer.  I love mixing this with my foundation.  I have normal to dry skin and can look dull at times but a little bit of high beam highlighter and you're good to go. Also, if you're looking tired from that restless night then this will solve your problems.  It gives you that fresh face, glowing skin that everybody loves.  I add a little bit of HOOLA bronzing powder either for a light contour or just to get a sun kissed look and this has no shimmer.  This step is optional, should you wish to contour or bronze then this powder is a good one. 

The last product I want to mention is benefit's lollitint.  This little sample I received is in the color Candy-Orchid tinted lip & cheek stain.  I was really impressed with this product. The bright color is perfect for Spring/Summer and as it states, it definitely stains. It gives a flushed look to the cheeks and lips for a pop of color that lasts all day.  I felt this color wasn't right for me but they have other colors to suit all skin tones.
